# How to fix Facebook conversion event error

Learn how to fix the Facebook Conversion Events error in your DoubleTick bot by connecting your dataset or pixel to your ad account in Meta Business Settings.

Sometimes your DoubleTick bot can't send a conversion event to Facebook and shows an error instead. This article explains what the error means and how to fix it by connecting the right dataset or pixel to your ad account in Meta Business Settings.

#### What the error means

<figure><img src="https://2303112206-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F53n17VnOICC1LtDqlENV%2Fuploads%2Fs1dYaQQkKixs9FwCwH3x%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9f3ad7ac-837e-49fe-b76a-1429cb771e51" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Your bot tried to send a Purchase or Lead Submitted event to Facebook, but Facebook replied that the object (dataset or pixel) does not exist or you don't have permission to use it.

This usually means the dataset or pixel isn't connected to your ad account, or your Business Manager settings are missing permissions. Because of this, Facebook doesn't accept the event.

#### How to fix the error

* Click **Done**.

If you don't see your ad account in the list, it is either in a different Business Manager or you don't have permission. See the next section for what to do.

#### If the error continues

* **You don't see the dataset or pixel in Business Settings**: Make sure you are in the Business Manager that owns the ad account. You can also ask a colleague who is a Business Admin to confirm the dataset or pixel exists.
* **You can't see your ad account to select it**: Your ad account might be in a different Business Manager, or you might not have permission. Ask your Business Admin to add the ad account or give you access.
* **You still get the same error after connecting**: Wait 5 to 15 minutes for Facebook to update the permissions, then test again. Also check that the Object ID shown in the error matches the dataset or pixel you connected. If it doesn't, connect the correct one.
* **You see a missing permissions message**: You need Admin or the right access on Business Manager to make these changes. If you don't have it, ask your Business Admin to follow these steps, or share the details with DoubleTick support so we can help.

#### Key takeaways

* The error means Facebook can't find the dataset or pixel, or you don't have permission to use it.
* The fix is to connect your dataset or pixel to your ad account in Meta Business Settings.
* If the error continues, wait 5 to 15 minutes, check that the Object ID matches, and confirm you have Admin access.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://learn.doubletick.io/click-to-whatsapp/conversion-api/how-to-fix-facebook-conversion-event-error.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
