# How to Change or Edit Your Display Name in DoubleTick

This article explains how to **change or edit your WhatsApp Display Name** for an API number using **DoubleTick**, and how the request is finally submitted to **Meta for approval**.

> ⚠️ Important:\
> The actual Display Name approval is handled by **Meta**. DoubleTick only redirects you to the correct Meta interface.

### Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure:

* You have **login access** to DoubleTick
* You have **admin access** of the META business Suite
* You are using a **desktop browser**, preferably **Google Chrome**

### Step 1: Log in to DoubleTick Web

1. Open **Google Chrome**
2. Type **web.doubletick.io** in the address bar
3. You will land on the **login page**
4. Enter:
   * your **login mobile number**
   * the **OTP** received
5. Verify the OTP and log in

Once logged in, you will land on the **Chat section** of DoubleTick.

### Step 2: Navigate to Settings

1. Move your cursor to the **left side of the screen**
2. The **navigation panel** opens
3. Scroll through the menu
4. Click on **Settings**\
   (Settings is the **last option** in the navigation panel)

### Step 3: Open "Manage Channels"

1. Inside **Settings**, click on the **third section** called Manage Channels
2. You will now see a list of **all WhatsApp API numbers** onboarded on this DoubleTick account

### Step 4: Select the API Number You Want to Edit

1. Identify the **API number** whose Display Name you want to change
2. Click on the **three dots (⋮)** located **to the right of that specific API number**

> 📌 If there are multiple API numbers, make sure you click the three dots **next to the correct number**.

### Step 5: Click “Update Channel Profile”

After clicking the three dots, you will see four options:

* Manage Assignees
* Update Channel Profile
* Go to FBM Account
* Deactivate

👉 Click on Update Channel Profile

### Step 6: Click “Edit on Meta”

1. A **right-hand side panel** will open
2. Here, you will see the profile details of the selected phone number
3. Locate:
   * **WABA Number Display Name (Visible on WhatsApp)**
4. Click on the **Edit on Meta** button

This will open a **new browser tab**.

### Step 7: You’ll Be Redirected to Meta (WhatsApp Manager)

You will now be redirected to the **WhatsApp Manager** inside **Facebook Business Manager**, where this number is onboarded.

### Step 8: Edit the Display Name in WhatsApp Manager

1. Click on the **phone number / current display name**
2. Go to the **Profile** section
3. You will see:
   * Current Display Name
   * Status (Approved / Rejected / Under Review)

If the name is approved:

* You will see an **Edit** button below it

#### To update the Display Name:

1. Click on **Edit**
2. Enter the **new Display Name** you want to apply for
3. Click **Submit**

### Step 9: Meta Review & Approval

* Once submitted, the Display Name request is sent to **Meta for review**
* Meta checks the name against **Display Name Guidelines**
* Approval usually takes **24–48 hours**

#### Possible statuses:

* **Approved** – Name is live on WhatsApp
* **Rejected** – Name violates guidelines
* **Under Review** – Pending Meta approval

### Important Notes for DoubleTick Users

* Display Name approval is **fully controlled by Meta**
* DoubleTick cannot approve or reject the request

### Summary

To change your WhatsApp Display Name:

1. Log in to **DoubleTick Web**
2. Go to **Settings →** Manage Channels
3. Select the correct API number
4. Click **Update WABA Profile**
5. Click **Edit on Meta**
6. Submit the new Display Name in WhatsApp Manager
7. Wait for Meta approval
