# How to Assign Instagram Channel Access to Team Members

By default, only Owners or the person who has onboarded the channel may have visibility into the Instagram channel. If you want only specific team members to handle Instagram messages, you can restrict access using the Manage Assignee option.

For example, if you have a team of five people but want only two of them to manage Instagram conversations, here is how to set that up:

**Step 1**: Go to Settings and click on Manage Channels.

**Step 2**: Find your Instagram channel in the list.

**Step 3**: Click the three-dot menu on the right-hand side of the Instagram channel.

**Step 4**: Select Manage Assignee.

**Step 5**: Select the team members you want to give access to, assign them their roles, and confirm.

Once this is done, only the assigned team members will be able to see and respond to Instagram messages. The remaining team members will not have access to the Instagram channel.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://learn.doubletick.io/migration-and-additional-channel/how-to-connect-your-instagram-account/how-to-assign-instagram-channel-access-to-team-members.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
