# How to Apply for an Official Business Account (OBA) for a Coexistence Number

If you are planning to onboard your WhatsApp number on **Coexistence**, it is important to understand one key difference:

For Coexistence numbers, the standard OBA request option is not available inside Meta Business Manager.

This means:

* You cannot submit a regular OBA request after onboarding the number on DoubleTick
* You must apply for OBA **before** onboarding the number as Coexistence

#### Step 1: Open WhatsApp Business App

The business owner (or an authorized person) should open the WhatsApp Business App on the phone where the numbe1234r is active.
