# How to Delete a WhatsApp Message Template from Facebook Business Manager

Use this guide to permanently delete a WhatsApp message template from Meta's WhatsApp Manager. You can open the correct WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) directly from DoubleTick, which helps you avoid deleting a template from the wrong account.

**You will need:** Access to DoubleTick, access to the connected Meta Business account, and permission to manage WhatsApp message templates.

**Important:** Deleting a template is permanent and cannot be undone. Meta also prevents you from reusing the deleted template's name for up to 30 days.

Make sure you know the following before proceeding:

* The exact name of the template you want to delete.
* The WABA or channel on which the template was created.

If you are unsure about the WABA, open **Templates** in DoubleTick, search for the template, and use the channel filter to identify the account where it exists.
