How to Check Which Phone Number Receives Your Facebook Two-Factor Authentication Code
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an important security feature on Facebook that helps protect your account from unauthorized access.
When 2FA is enabled, Meta sends a verification code whenever:
You log in from a new device or browser
You attempt sensitive security changes
Meta detects unusual login activity
Many users are unsure which phone number is currently linked to their 2FA setup, especially because Facebook displays the number in a masked format.
This guide explains how to verify the phone number connected to your two-factor authentication and how to view the full number in your account settings.
Step 1: Log in to Facebook
Open your browser (Google Chrome recommended)
Visit:
Log in using the Facebook account that manages your Meta Business assets
Step 2: Access Facebook Settings
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner (profile image with a dropdown arrow)
Select: Settings & Privacy
Then click: Settings
You will be redirected to the main Facebook settings page.
Step 3: Open Meta Accounts Center
On the left-hand navigation panel, locate: Meta Accounts Center
Under it, click the blue link: See more in Accounts Center
This will open the Meta Accounts Center, where all security and login settings are managed.
Step 4: Navigate to Password and Security
In Accounts Center, use the left-side menu
Click on Password and Security
This section contains all authentication-related options, including two-factor authentication.
Step 5: Check Two-Factor Authentication Delivery Number
Under Password and Security, select: Two-Factor Authentication
Choose the correct Facebook profile (if multiple profiles are listed)
Facebook will display where your login codes are being delivered.
Note: The Phone Number Will Appear Masked
For security reasons, Facebook does not show the complete number on this screen.
Example:
Only the last few digits are visible.
Step 6: View the Full Phone Number Linked to Your Account
If you want to confirm the complete phone number:
Return to the Password and Security section in Accounts Center
Locate and click on Personal Details
Select: Contact Info
Here, Meta will display the phone number saved in your account in full (unmasked), along with your email address.
This allows you to clearly identify which number is connected to your two-factor authentication setup.
By completing the steps above, you can:
Confirm which phone number receives Facebook 2FA login codes
Verify access to the correct number before making security or business changes
Avoid authentication issues during Meta Business or WhatsApp API onboarding
