WhatsApp Business API Platform – Updated Template Rates (Effective Jan 1, 2026)

Starting January 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM IST, Meta will introduce revised template messaging rates across several regions. These updates will automatically apply to businesses using the WhatsApp Business Platform, including those using DoubleTick.

Rate Card Updates (Effective January 1, 2026)

The following updates will be reflected in Meta’s official pricing structure.

Marketing Messages

Pricing updates will apply to the following regions:

Lower rates : France, Egypt

Higher rate : India

Businesses sending marketing templates to users in India may notice a slight increase in messaging costs, while messaging customers in France and Egypt will benefit from reduced rates.


Utility & Authentication Messages

Pricing updates will apply to the following region:

Lower rates : North America

Businesses sending utility or authentication templates to customers in North America will benefit from reduced messaging costs after the update.


What This Means for DoubleTick Users

If you are using DoubleTick with the WhatsApp Business API, the updated pricing will be applied automatically.

There is no action required from your side. Once the new rates become effective, all template messages will be billed based on the updated Meta pricing.

Key points to note:

  • Updated rates will automatically apply from January 1, 2026

  • No configuration changes are required in your DoubleTick account

  • Your existing messaging workflows will continue to function as usual
