# How to Create Message Templates ## Checkout the video on creating and managing Templates👇 {% embed url="" %} *** ## How to Create Templates? ***To perform this action via API, please visit*** [***this link***](https://doubletick.readme.io/reference/create-template) Templates are made up of four primary components which you define when you create a template: header, body, footer, and buttons. The components you choose for each of your templates should be based on * Navigate to the left panel, select "**Templates**," and then click on the "**New Template**" button.

* Select "**Basic Info**," then input the template name, language, and select category. If you have multiple channels, choose the WABA number for which you want to create the template. * After entering the details, click on the "**Next**" button to proceed.

* In the content section of the template, you can input the specific details or message text that will be sent to users. This includes the ***header (optional)***, ***body (mandatory)***, which constitutes your main message, and the ***footer (optional)*** for additional information or closing remarks. * Enter the details of the content, Once completed, click on "**Next**" to continue.

* To add a button in the button section, select "**Add a Button**," choose the button type

* Enter the Button details, and then click on "**Next**" to proceed

* Enter Variable smaple data

After entering all the variabe details, proceed by clicking on the "**Submit Template**" button.
