The Welcome Bot serves as an automated greeting mechanism designed to engage with customers and provide a personalized experience.
Here's how it operates 👇
Whenever a new message is received from a customer, the Welcome Bot springs into action
To ensure a balanced interaction experience, the bot is designed to activate only once within a 24-hour period for each customer
This feature ensures that customers receive the welcome message at appropriate intervals without overwhelming them with repeated greetings (The activation timeframe of 24 hours remains constant and cannot be altered or adjusted)
Prior to deployment, administrators can define a welcome template message within the bot's settings. This template serves as the standardized greeting that the bot delivers to customers upon activation
Navigate to the Bot Studio in the left panel
Under the default bot, locate and select the Welcome Bot
Once on the "Manage your Welcome Bot" page, click on the edit icon
On Configure selected bots window, click on the "Set New Template" button
Choose the desired welcome template and click on the "Select Template" button
If necessary, add variables to customize the message, then click on the "Select Template" button again to confirm
To enable/active the welcome bot click on the toggle switch on the top right coner
